I STARTED THIS BLOG IN 2008 TO KEEP FRIENDS AND FAMILY UPDATED ON MY JOURNEY, MY BATTLE WITH BREAST CANCER. IT BEGINS WITH THE DAY I WAS DIAGNOSED, CONTINUES THROUGH TREATMENT, HEALING AND BEYOND. About Me

- Diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 41. Tumor: 4 cm Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Stage 2a, Grade 3, No Nodes, Triple Negative (ER/PR-, Her2-). Chemo - Weekly AC/for 12 weeks. Had anaphylactic shock response to Taxol. Second round of chemo was weekly Abraxane/12 weeks. No Radiation needed. Chemo ended 8/08. Bilateral mastectomies 9/08. Third round of chemo weekly Navelbine/12 weeks & daily Xeloda began 10/08 and ended 2/09. Reconstruction (DIEP) stage 1 completed 6/11, stage 2 completed 10/11, stage 3 completed 6/12.
