Kristen and Brett went on a Carnival cruise recently. One of their activities was "On Deck for the Cure", sponsored by Komen and Carnival. They, along with Brett's family, participated in my honor. Very cool!

- Diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 41. Tumor: 4 cm Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Stage 2a, Grade 3, No Nodes, Triple Negative (ER/PR-, Her2-). Chemo - Weekly AC/for 12 weeks. Had anaphylactic shock response to Taxol. Second round of chemo was weekly Abraxane/12 weeks. No Radiation needed. Chemo ended 8/08. Bilateral mastectomies 9/08. Third round of chemo weekly Navelbine/12 weeks & daily Xeloda began 10/08 and ended 2/09. Reconstruction (DIEP) stage 1 completed 6/11, stage 2 completed 10/11, stage 3 completed 6/12.
